Please Note: There were two versions of the DX-40. To determine the version of your DX-40: The earlier (ca. 1958) version has a 20 uF @ 450V axial electrolytic capacitor under the chassis in the area behind the key jack. That cap was deleted and not replaced in the later (1960) version.
